The much-anticipated Tamil historical action drama, Thangalaan, starring Vikram, has cleared censorship formalities and secured a U/A certificate, making it suitable for audiences of all ages. The film is all set for a grand theatrical release on August 15th, coinciding with India's Independence Day, across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam languages.

Directed by B. Ranjith, Thangalaan is a cinematic journey inspired by true events, focusing on the lives of mine workers in the Kolar Gold Fields of Karnataka. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Vikram in the lead role, alongside Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, and Daniel Caltrogine. The captivating music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while the film's captivating visuals are brought to life by cinematographer Kishor Kumar, and the impactful editing is handled by Selva RK.
