Malavika Mohanan, known for her captivating performances, recently shared a hilarious anecdote from the set of Chiyaan Vikram's highly anticipated Pan-Indian film "Thangalaan." Directed by Pa. Ranjith, the period drama based on real events in the Kolar Gold Fields, is set to release on August 15th.

Malavika, who plays a compelling negative role in the film, revealed that during one shoot day, she was surprised by a sudden encounter with a large buffalo. Director Pa. Ranjith, known for his unconventional approach, asked Malavika if she liked the buffalo and then, without any prior notice, instructed her to sit on it!

Initially thinking it was a joke, Malavika hesitantly followed Ranjith's instructions, admitting that she had never sat on a buffalo before. This unexpected moment added a touch of unpredictability to the filming, and Malavika hinted that it's just the beginning of the madness that unfolds in the film.

"Thangalaan" also features a stellar cast, including Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Sampath Ram, and Hari Krishnan. The film is produced jointly by Neelam Productions, Studio Green, and Jio Studios, with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
