Kangana Ranaut Attacks Sonu Sood For This Reason

Controversial Actor blasts Sonu Sood

Kangana Ranaut attacks Sonu Sood for this reason. Kangana Ranaut has taken to X to criticize actor Sonu Sood for his defense of a food vendor who was caught spitting on a customer's food. Sood's comparison of the incident to the Shabri episode in the Ramayana, where Lord Ram ate berries offered by a tribal woman, has drawn widespread criticism.

In a pointed tweet, Kangana wrote, "Next you know Sonu ji will direct his own Ramayana based on his own personal findings about God and religion. Wah kya baat hai Bollywood se ek aur Ramayana (sic)." Her statement implies that Sood's interpretation of the Shabri story is distorted and that he is using it to justify an unsavory act.

The controversy stemmed from a video posted on X showing a food vendor spitting on dough while making chapatis. This sparked a debate after Sonu Sood posted about a new rule requiring restaurants along the Kanwar Yatra route to publicly display their owners' names.

Responding to a user's comment about sending the contaminated roti to Sonu Sood, he wrote, "Our Shri Ram Ji ate the sour berries of Shabri, so why can't I eat them? Violence can be defeated by non-violence, my brother. Humanity must just remain intact. Jai Shri Ram (sic)."

While Sonu's intention may have been to promote understanding, his analogy has been widely perceived as insensitive and inappropriate.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Sonu Sood will next be seen in the cyber crime thriller "Fateh," alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Naseeruddin Shah, scheduled for release later this year. Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film, "Emergency," is set to hit theaters on September 7th.
