Ahead of the release, the makers have revealed that Suriya will embody three distinct avatars in the film, each showcasing a dramatic transformation and adding layers of intrigue to the narrative.
A source close to the production shared, "Suriya will be seen in three different looks in 'Kanguva'. The actor has undergone a drastic transformation for his role in the film. Each character will have different looks that have never been seen before and will add a different layer of intrigue to the film's story."
"Kanguva" is touted as the biggest and most expensive film of the year, with an estimated budget exceeding Rs 350 crore, surpassing the scale of major blockbusters like "Pushpa" and "Singham." The film was shot across seven countries on various continents, further emphasizing its ambitious scope.
Producer KE Gnanavel Raja confirmed that the film will be released in two parts, with the second part slated for a January 2027 release, if production goes as planned. The first part is currently undergoing post-production.
Directed by Siruthai Siva, "Kanguva" is one of the most anticipated films in production. The film features period portions set 1,500 years in the past, pitting Suriya against Bobby Deol in a clash of epic proportions.
