Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD collected Rs 1000+ Crores globally by the end of its third week and became the biggest films of the year. While it is said to be the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 and the 7th highest-grossing Indian film of all time, among several other records for a Telugu and Indian film, The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in pivotal roles and they received immense appreciation from the viewers. Apart from this, the music in the film also garnered attention.
Santhosh Narayanan composed the soundtrack for the film. According to the reports, the audio rights to the film were acquired by Saregama for a cost of Rs 18 crore. For the unversed, the first single titled “Bhairava Anthem” was released on June 16. Three more singles – Theme of Kalki, Ta Takkara (Complex Song) and Hope of Shambala – followed on June 25, 29 and July 4, respectively. The entire soundtrack album was released on July 10.
Recent reports suggest that the Prabhas-starrer will stream on Amazon Prime and Netflix. The film will be streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, with English subtitles on Amazon Prime. On Netflix, however, the Hindi version of the film will be available with English subtitles.
The film’s initial digital release date was set for late July, but due to its strong box-office success, the producers opted to prolong its theatrical run. As a result, the film is now slated to be accessible on OTT platforms by the second week of September. The makers have not announced the release date yet.
