Tamil Nadu Government Refuses To Screen Early Shows For Indian 2

No Early Morning Shows For I2 In TN

Actor-politician Kamal Haasan is gearing up for his action thriller Indian 2, sequel to Indian (1996), directed by Shankar. The film is releasing in theatres on July 12, Today. The Tamil Nadu government has issued an order not allowing early morning shows for the film, but it has permitted theatres to screen a special show at 9 am tomorrow (July 12) alone and ensure the presentation ends by 2 am the next day (July 13), running a maximum of five shows.

Whereas in Andhra, shows will start from 7'O clock and Government provided necessary permission to screen early shows. The sequel to the 1996 film Indian is directed by Shankar and stars Kamal Haasan as Senapathy, the freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption. 

The ensemble cast of Indian 2 also includes Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, SJ Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, and Samuthirakani, among others. In the last press conference for the Indian sequel, Shankar also revealed that the film contains an animated version of RK Laxman's cartoon character, The Common Man.

Jayamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu, and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar are credited as the dialogue writers of the film. It has cinematography by Ravi Varman, editing by Sreekar Prasad, and music by Anirudh Ravichander. Produced by Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions, Indian 2 is all set to hit theatres on July 12 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. There is also a third part to the franchise, which is in the post-production phase.
