Director Sandeep Vanga Reddy, known for crafting complex characters with morally ambiguous shades in films like "Arjun Reddy" and "Animal," is set to challenge Prabhas in his upcoming film "Spirit."
A source reveals that Prabhas will portray a police officer whose journey takes an intriguing turn. The character starts as an honest and upright officer but eventually succumbs to the realities of a corrupt world, unveiling a darker side. This transformation from white to grey promises a unique and never-before-seen portrayal of Prabhas.
This marks the first time Prabhas will embrace grey and dark shades in his career, promising to enthrall his vast fan base.
Following his doctor protagonist in "Arjun Reddy" and Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of a gangster in "Animal," Sandeep is now crafting a story that celebrates a sincere police officer, while simultaneously exploring the complexities of his journey. This project is set to deliver a powerful and larger-than-life image for Prabhas.
"Spirit" is scheduled to commence production in December this year, after Prabhas completes his other projects, "Rajasaab" and "Kannappa." Prabhas's enthusiasm for collaborating with Sandeep stems from the director's ability to create energetic and fearless roles.
