The trailer of Pekamedalu, starring Vinoth Kishan, has been unveiled by its makers. The film is produced by actor Rakesh Varre under his banner Crazy Ants Productions. Crazy Ants has earlier producing Evarikee Cheppodu in 2018. While Evarikee Cheppodu also starred Baahubali fame actor Rakesh in the lead role, he will serve as a producer for Pekamedalu. The film is written and directed by debutant Neelagiri Mamilla. Anoosha Krishna is the female lead of the film.
Pekamedalu trailer offers rollercoaster ride of emotions blended with humour. In a two minute trailer, Laxman (played by Vinoth Kishan), who constantly boozes with his friends.leads an irresponsible life. He is married and has a son but stays the same. His wife Varalaxmi (Anoosha Krishna) wants him to settle down with a monthly job so that they can lead a better life but it falls on his deaf ears. He is always after quick money and he befriends a woman who has left her husband and children in the US to come down to Hyderabad. He introduces himself as an entrepreneur to her and later they hit it off.
On the other hand, his wife, to make ends meet, opens a curry point shop. Soon Laxman’s found himself in a spiral of problems and his marital life too is on the verge of a collapse. At one point, he takes loans from others on his wife’s name which leads to her wrath. A subtle yet important message conveyed through humour is the best way to sum up the trailer, which packs in a lot of drama with its short duration, promising an emotional entertainer that can resonate with youngsters who want to climb up the ladder in life through shortcuts.
Smaran Sai is the music director of the film, with cinematography by Haricharan K, editing by Srujana Adusumilli and Hamza Ali and production design by Kranti Priyam. The writing team of the film comprises of editor Hamza Ali and director Neelagiri, in addition to Srinivas Ittam. The dialogues and lyrics of the film are penned by Bhargava Karthik. The film will hit the screens on July 19.
