The makers shared a poster of Chiyaan Vikram surrounded by fellow workers from the Kolar Gold Fields. According to reports, 'Thangalaan' is gearing up for a grand release in theatres in August. An official announcement is still awaited.

'Thangalaan' was supposed to release in January 2024. However, it got postponed multiple times due to unavoidable circumstances. Now, reports suggest that the makers have locked August 15 as the new release date. The 'Thangalaan' team could announce the release date along with the film's trailer.
Directed by Pa Ranjith, 'Thangalaan' is an historical action drama featuring Chiyaan Vikram in the titular role where he played the head of a tribal group. Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Arjun Anbudan and Sampath Ram are part of the supporting cast.
