Vijay Deverakonda Missed A Horror Thriller

Rowdy Star missed Horror Roar

Vijay Deverakonda, known for his massive youth following and ability to create buzz, recently faced a box office setback with "Family Star." The film, directed by Parasuram, failed to connect with audiences, and Vijay was also subject to online criticism for his role in a controversial scene.

However, amidst these challenges, an interesting tidbit has emerged about the actor's early career.

Vijay was originally slated to star in Ravi Babu's successful horror thriller, "Avunu," playing the role of Poorna's husband. Unfortunately, communication issues prevented the casting, and Harshavardhan Rane eventually took on the role, leading to both critical and commercial success for the film.

This revelation, shared by Ravi Babu himself, highlights a missed opportunity for Vijay, who was introduced to the silver screen by Ravi Babu in the rom-com "Nuvvila."

Interestingly, Ravi Babu is currently involved in the film "Rush," which he created, and will soon be released on ETV Win.

While "Family Star" didn't live up to expectations, Vijay is currently busy filming his next project with Gowtham Tinnanuri, where he plays a cop.

This unexpected anecdote about "Avunu" offers a glimpse into Vijay Deverakonda's early career trajectory and the potential he has displayed from the beginning.
