Until last year, Venu Yeldandi is only known as comedy actor. But, now he is being looked upon as an award winning director. One film changed everything for him. Venu who debuted in films with Teja directorial Jai has become a popular comedian later on. He became popular as 'Tillu' Venu with Prabhas starrer Munna directed by Vamshi Paidipally.
Then ETV's comedy show Jabardasth earned him fame. His skits written and enacted by him became widely popular and gave him more recognition among the audience. Venu who wants to become a director from his initial days never got a chance in that direction but became a comedy actor.
After waiting and doing what came along for a longtime. He got an opportunity to direct a film. His story impressed popular producer Dil Raju and agreed to do a film in his newly found Dil Raju Productions banner produced by Harshith and Hanshitha. Venu Yeldandi became a director and made Balagam.
Right from its release day, Balagam found its audience for its strong content. Initially it is being projected as a Telangana film. But, Venu's portrayal of slice of life with rural Telangana backdrop weaved by universal emotions worked with audience from all corners. The film became a blockbuster and won many awards at international stage too. Venu Yeldandi has been acclaimed for his writing and directing skills. Now everyone is eagerly waiting for his next with Natural Star Nani produced by Dil Raju.
