Siva Karthikeyan who has scored superhit with 'Maaveeran' last year has recently completed filming 'Amaran' in Kamal Haasan's production. The film co-stars Sai Pallavi. Sivakarthikeyan recently met director Lokesh Kanagaraj in Chennai, sparking widespread speculation about a potential collaboration between the two. Sivakarthikeyan also met the team of screenwriters working on Lokesh's next project, Coolie, which will star Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role.
Screenwriter Chandhru Anbazhagan tweeted a photo of Sivakarthikeyan posing with the Coolie team. It seems that Sivakarthikeyan was there to be part of someone's birthday celebration. Thank you @Dir_Lokesh, @iamarunviswa and #Coolie’s Direction team for making it a special birthday," tweeted Chandhru.
Chandhru shares a good rapport with Sivakarthikeyan, having co-written Sivakarthikeyan's 2023 hit Maaveeran. He was also one of the writers for Lokesh's feature debut Maanagaram. Lokesh roped in Chandhru to co-write the screenplay for his maiden collaboration with Rajinikanth.
Earlier rumours suggested that Lokesh was considering casting Sivakarthikeyan in Coolie. Given that Sivakarthikeyan is a die-hard fan of Rajinikanth. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. Coolie is expected to go on the floors in early June. Earlier, the filmmakers released the title announcement teaser for Coolie, revealing Rajinikanth's look in the movie. Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the film is set to hit the screens next year.
