Director Sirin Sriram has announced the release of his new film 'Preminchoddu,' a Pan India production featuring Anuroop Reddy, Deva Malishetty, Sarika, and Manasa in lead roles. Produced under the banner of Sirin Sriram Cafe, the film will be available in five languages, with the Telugu version hitting theaters on June 7.
During a recent media conference, Sirin Sriram also discussed his new book, "Baby Leaks," which addresses allegations of plagiarism against director Sai Rajesh. Sriram claims that Rajesh copied his story to create the film "Baby," released in July 2023.
Sriram explained that the story originated from a Facebook post by Ravi Kiran in 2015, which inspired him to develop a plot about a girl from the slums who is killed by two boys. He shared this story with Sai Rajesh, who initially showed interest in producing the film but eventually delayed the project indefinitely. Sriram later discovered that Rajesh had used his story to create "Baby," featuring a similar plot.
After gathering evidence, Sriram consulted lawyer Nikhilesh and sent a copyright legal notice to Rajesh, who denied the allegations, claiming the story was his. In February, Sriram filed a case in Rayadurgam and lodged complaints with the Film Chamber and Producer Council. To further highlight the issue, he authored "Baby Leaks," detailing the alleged fraud and presenting his side of the story.
Sriram's book aims to bring attention to the injustice he faced and provide transparency regarding the events that transpired. As he continues to seek justice, he remains committed to his creative pursuits, with 'Preminchoddu' set to captivate audiences across India.
