Manoj introduced to films with Major Chandrakanth starring legendary Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao along with his father Mohan Babu as a child actor. After Sri and Raju Bhai, Manoj involved in scripting for his film Nenu Meeku Telusa, a film.with unique concept. The film became popular with its music.

Manoj is making his reentry into films after a break of six years with 'What The Fish'. He is playing the menacing antagonist in Teja Sajja starrer high budgeted 'Mirai', marking a new turn in his career.
