Scam 2010 announced.Director Hansal Mehta has announced the highly anticipated third installment of the critically acclaimed "Scam" franchise, focusing on the rise and fall of maverick businessman Subrata Roy.  Titled "Scam 2010: The Subrata Roy Saga," the series will premiere on Sony LIV.

Mehta unveiled the first promo for the show on social media, declaring, "Sc3m is back! Scam 2010: The Subrata Roy Saga, coming soon on @sonylivindia #Scam2010OnSonyLIV."

The series, based on Tamal Bandyopadhyay's book "Sahara: The Untold Story," will be produced by Applause Entertainment, in association with Studio Next.

"Scam 2010" delves into the captivating story of Subrata Roy, whose meteoric rise in the early 2000s was marred by accusations of chit-fund manipulation and fraudulent investment schemes, culminating in his arrest in 2014. The series explores the lasting repercussions of this massive scam, with approximately Rs 25,000 crore still unclaimed by government authorities.

Director Hansal Mehta expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "Scam is not just a franchise for me. It is a chronicling of our times. I’m thrilled to collaborate again with Applause and Sony LIV to bring this larger than life story alive."

"Scam 2010: The Subrata Roy Saga" will follow in the footsteps of the acclaimed "Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story" and "Scam 2003: The Telgi Story," both of which explored infamous financial scandals in India. The "Scam" franchise has consistently captivated audiences with its gripping narratives and compelling performances, shedding light on the complexities of financial crimes and their impact on society.
