Earthquake hits Rajamouli in Japan. SS Rajamouli and his family experienced a 5.3 magnitude earthquake in Japan on March 21. SS Karthikeya, his son, confirmed their safety on X (formerly known as Twitter), mentioning they were on the 28th floor of a hotel when the ground started shaking. He shared a photo of an emergency alert from the Japan Meteorological Agency.
Karthikeya's post described the experience, stating, "Felt a freaking earthquake in Japan just now!!! Was on the 28th floor and slowly the ground started to move and took us a while to realize it was an earthquake. I was just about to panic but all the Japanese around did not budge as if it just started to rain!! Experience an earthquake box ticked (sic)." He tagged his father Rajamouli and 'Baahubali' producer Shobu Yarlagadda.
Earlier, Rajamouli and his wife, Rama Rajamouli, attended a special screening of 'RRR' in Japan on March 18. Rajamouli was touched when he received origami cranes from an 83-year-old fan during the event.
'RRR' has been running in over 500 theaters in Japan. In 2022, Jr NTR and Ram Charan promoted the film in Japan, following Covid-19 protocols. Rajamouli expressed his desire to visit Japan after the restrictions are lifted and also discussed his upcoming film with Mahesh Babu at the recent event.
