The lady superstar Anushka Shetty is slowly appearing in films regularly. Since Baahubali: The Conclusion, she was rarely seen on the big screen. Her only full-length film, 'Miss Shetty Mister Polishetty' co-starring with Naveen Polishetty was released last year and turned out to be a superhit. She recently started shooting for Malayalam film, 'Kathanar'.
Now Anushka is back with another riveting saga. She has teamed up with creative director Krish Jagarlamudi for a new movie titled Ghaati. It’s a joint production venture of UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments. Besides revealing the title, the makers have also unveiled the pre-look poster featuring Anushka. Draped in a saree and covered her face with a shawl, Anushka is seen walking carrying a cloth bag in the pre-look poster.
Ghaati is a gripping tale of revenge, redemption, and retribution where a victim turned criminal rises to a status of legend. Anushka plays an authoritative character in this female-centric movie where she starts as a drug peddler. Earlier Anushka and Krish worked together for 'Vedam' where she played the role of a prostitute, Saroja for which she won accolades.
Vamsi and Rajiv Reddy are the producers, while Chintakindi Srinivas Rao, Krish Jagarlamudi and Burra Sai Madhav are the writers. Reportedly the plot is very similar to Netflix series 'Queen Of The South'.
