Indian 2 rights sold for record rates in Telugu States

Telugu states fancy sum for Indian 2

Indian 2 rights sold for record rates in Telugu States. Ace actor Kamal Haasan's upcoming action thriller 'Indian 2', the sequel to the blockbuster 'Indian', has reportedly been sold for a staggering Rs 22 crore in the Telugu states, almost double the price of his previous film 'Vikram'. This deal marks the highest price for the national award-winning actor in recent times.

The distributor attributes this high price to the combination of Kamal Haasan and director Shankar, whose earlier collaboration on 'Indian' in 1996 was a sensational hit. The film showcased an aged freedom fighter turning into a vigilante and was well-received for its blend of songs and entertainment.

'Indian 2' has been in the making for over five years, with the production facing delays due to the pandemic. The film, co-produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, features a strong supporting cast including Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, and SJ Suryah.
