Aamir Khan Shocker Over Being An Actor

Aamir An Accidental Actor

Aamir shocker over being an actor. Aamir Khan, often hailed as 'Mr. Perfectionist,' has had a remarkable career spanning over three decades in the film industry. However, it might surprise some to learn that acting was not his initial career choice. In an old interview from 1988 with Movie Magazine, shared on Reddit, Aamir revealed that as a child, he had vowed never to become a producer or have anything to do with films.

Growing up, Aamir was shy, high-strung, goofy, and awkward, traits that seem at odds with the confident persona he embodies today. He was disillusioned by the film industry, particularly by witnessing his father, Tahir Hussain, a producer, constantly having to chase directors and artists who would play musical chairs before completing his films. This experience solidified Aamir's resolve to stay away from film production.

Aamir's entry into acting was accidental. While in the twelfth standard, Aditya Bhattacharya approached him for a short film, which was intended for a festival. Aamir agreed to participate just for fun, but he ended up enjoying the experience and gaining confidence in his acting abilities. This led him to reconsider his stance and decide to pursue acting as a profession.

Despite his family having no objections to his decision to become an actor, Aamir sensed their underlying concern about the practicality of his choice. However, he remained determined and embarked on his acting journey. Aamir made his debut as a child actor in "Yaadon Ki Baaraat" (1973) and later transitioned to adult roles, with his first major role in "Holi" (1984). He officially began his full-time acting career with the iconic film "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak" (1988), which marked the beginning of his incredible journey in Indian cinema.
