Emraan Hashmi after making a successful OTT debut with ‘Bard of Blood’ on Netflix, He is back with his next project on the digital platform. Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment produced new series titled 'Showtime' for Disney Plus Hotstar. The series follows the stories of various Bollywood celebrities and their struggles to stay at the top of their game.
Makers unveiled the trailer of 'Showtime'. Emraan is seen playing the role of an influential film producer who wants to maintain his position on top. The trailer discusses about operating movie business as legacy by some while some who came from outside tries to sit on the throne. It touches about nepotism, reviews, content based films and even about calling Star as God.
The series aims to provide viewers with insight into the workings of Bollywood. Created by Sumit Roy, and directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, the series stars an ensemble cast including the talented Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy and Naseeruddin Shah along with Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran in pivotal roles.
‘Showtime’ will premiere on March 8, 2024 exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
