In the age of OTT, once bigger stars who has lost aheen at the boxoffice are smart enough to switch their priorities to OTT from bigscreen. Saif Ali Khan is one such star who quickly adapted to the new norm, OTT is the future. He is the first star who acted in a Web series, 'Sacred Games' which is streaming on Netflix. Now, he is doing a direct to OTT Film which is to be produced by Siddharth Anand.
It was earlier reported that Siddharth Anand and Saif Ali Khan will be collaborating on a heist film. The thriller film will feature the actor racing against time for a rescue operation. Jaideep Ahlawat will reportedly play the antagonist in the film. Now as per latest reports, the action thriller film that will directly release on OTT has got the title of ‘Jewel Thief’
The film is directed by Robbie Grewal who is known for RAW: Romeo Akhbar Walter. While the film is titled Jewel Thief, it has got nothing to do with the original film starring the legendary Dev Anand. Siddharth Anand had this title registered under his banner and believes that the tile is apt for the subject of this Robbie Grewal directorial.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Saif Ali Khan is currently shooting for his upcoming Telugu film Devara, alongside Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. Saif plays the antagonist in the film.
