Venkatesh's landmark film, his 75th, Saindhav has left him and his fans in dismay with its disappointing result. Venkatesh returned to the action genre. The movie didn't perform particularly well in terms of box office receipts, despite the expectations surrounding it. The movie is now getting ready for its OTT release. It was released on January 13, 2024.
With four weeks from its theatrical release, Saindhav is confirmed to stream from 3rd February on Amazon Prime. Saindhav is an action entertainer set in the fictitious coastal city of Chandraprastha. Satellite rights of Saindhav were secured by ETV.
Written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu. The film also stars Arya, Shraddha Srinath, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ruhani Sharma, Andrea Jeremiah, Baby Sara Palekar, Jayaprakash and Jisshu Sengupta among others. The film marks Nawazuddin's debut in Telugu cinema. Amazon Prime has secured Saindhav rights for Rs 15 Crores as per estimates.
The film was shot in Hyderabad, Vizag and Sri Lanka. Backed by Venkat Boyanapalli under the banner Niharika Entertainment, the music is by Santosh Narayanan. The film features cinematography by S Manikandan and editing by Garry BH. Saindhav which was made with a budget of close to 40 Crores has managed to collect 15-20 crores gross worldwide in its full run.
