Acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced his next on Wednesday. Titled, Love and War, the “epic saga” will star an impressive star studded cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film will mark Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's second collaboration with Bhansali.
Ranbir’s first film was the Bhansali directorial Saawariya (2007), while Alia recently worked with the director in Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022). This is the first time Vicky is joining hands with the filmmaker. The official announcement was made on Wednesday.
Sharing the news on his social media platforms, Vicky wrote, “An eternal cinema dream has come true.” Love and War is scheduled to release on Christmas, 2025. Known about his larger than life canvas, Bhansali's announcement created huge stirr as it involves lead star cast in this Magnum Opus.
Bhansali is also working on his debut web series Heeramandi. Ranbir was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s monstrous hit Animal, while Vicky played late field marshal Sam Manekshaw in Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur. Last year, Alia starred alongside Ranveer Singh in Karan Johar’s rom-com Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She also has Vasan Bala’s Jigra in the pipeline.
