Rashmika Says Sandeep Vanga Should Be Protected

Rashmika Mandanna who shot to pan India fame with Blockbuster 'Pushpa Part 1 The Rise' has forayed into Bollywood and did some films. But, none of them provided her with major breakthrough. When it seems her Bollywood career is bleak, 'Animal' happened to her. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer directed by Sandeep Vanga has created ripples at the boxoffice and became much discussed film for its controversial narrative style. 

Rashmika's Geethanjali character has so much importance in the film that she not only regained popularity but also earned respect as an actor for her performance in the film. As 'Animal' has emerged as huge Blockbuster crossing Rs 800 Crores gross globally, team has recently celebrated its success with a lavish party attended by who's who of Bollywood. Rashmika speaking to scribes talked about director Sandeep Vanga.

Rashmika said, “That man just functions differently. I don’t know how he thinks, what he eats or what he does. But with Animal you saw, ‘Oh, this is what the audience likes, this is what we like showing the audience, this is the story that we want to maintain’. Rashmika said that the director isn’t someone who’d change himself to pander to the masses. “He’s just like, ‘This is the story I want to say,’ and he sticks by it. He doesn’t change according to what people want him to change. So, I love that. I think that man should be protected, and he has to be like that for the rest of his life,” she said.

Rashmika is currently doing a female oriented film 'Rainbow' in Tamil. Her another biggie with Dhanush in Sekhar Kammula direction which also features Nagarjuna Akkineni in a key role has started filming recently. Her much awaited Pushpa 2 The Rule is scheduled to release for Independence day this year. She has also started 'The Girlfriend' in Rahul Ravindran's direction which has her in the lead role.
