Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has transcended boundaries and emerged as a phenomenal Blockbuster across all-over India. This Sandeep Vanga directorial has broken many traditional aspects in filmmaking those have been driving the cinema for decades. 'Animal' not only emerges as the biggest blockbusters at the boxoffice, but also a pathbreaking film which made many directors to rethink about writing and narrative style.
'Animal,’ has surpassed Shahrukh Khan's ‘Pathaan.’ Animal has collected Rs 4.07 crore in the last weekend of 2023. 'Animal' has now reached Rs 544.93 cores (nett) and currently holds the position of the second-highest grosser of 2023 after ‘Jawan'. The film surpassed Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Pathaan,' which had previously reached Rs 543.09 crore (nett) at the Indian box office.
'Animal' is now stands at Rs 547 Crores domestic nett. The film has managed to sustain its presence in theatres despite the arrival of both ‘Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire’ and ‘Dunki’. But there is a significant gap between Animal and Jawan. Shahrukh Khan and Atlee’s Jawan stands at Rs 640.25 crore (nett), almost Rs 95 crore ahead of ‘Animal’.
'Animal’ is Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s third directorial after ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’. The story centres around a troubled father-son relationship that takes the route of bloodshed and vengeance. The film features Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, and Anil Kapoor. It was released on December 1.
