The film is based on real life of IPS Manoj Sharma who became triumphant in life by cracking the most toughest UPSC examination becoming IPS against the odds of extreme poverty. '12th Fail' directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra chronicles the life of Manoj Kumar Sharma, in an authentic and compelling manner. The film features Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankar in lead roles.
