A mega budgeted, sci-fi masterpiece 'Kalki 2898 AD,' infused with mythology and futuristic elements, is in the making through the collaborative efforts of Prabhas, Nag Ashwin, and Vyjayanthi Movies. The film boasts a stellar cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, with Ashwini Dutt producing it under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner.
While the film's initial sneak peeks were unveiled at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, garnering an astounding response worldwide, director Nag Ashwin took part in a special program at IIT Bombay today, where exclusive content from 'Kalki 2898 AD' was showcased at the Tech Fest'23. In the ensuing Q&A session, Nag Ashwin shared intriguing insights about the film.
Nag Ashwin said that, " 'Kalki 2898 AD' is a unique science fiction film set in a futuristic India. While there have been time travel movies before, 'Kalki' stands out as a story set in a distinct world that explores how future cities in India will look. The team has dedicated almost five years to designing and building this new world from scratch, offering audiences a fresh and captivating experience."
When asked about Prabhas, Nag Ashwin said that we will see a new Prabhas, in the way Prabhas would actually look in the future. About his choice for Santosh Narayanan as a music director, Ashwin told, " Santosh Narayan's ability to infuse Indian roots into his music while creating a global sound influenced the decision to bring him on board as the composer for 'Kalki 2898 AD.'
