Shah Rukh Khan Dunki First Week Collections

Dunki Marks 5th 300 Cr Film For SRK

After setting boxoffice on fire with Pathaan and Jawan, Shahrukh Khan has arrived to score hat-trick with 'Dunki' in the same year. Unlike the aforementioned two films which are high with commercial elements that draw masses to the theatres, 'Dunki' was made as a heartwarming emotional rollercoaster ride. But, the director being Rajkumar Hirani who is known for delivering highest grossers with family friendly films blended with entertainment and emotions, 'Dunki' had high expectations.

Shah Rukh Khan lead "Dunki" which was released worldwide on 21st December has an average start at th boxoffice. The film has raked in Rs 30 crores domestically on its first day and Rs 55+ Crores gross worldwide. The film has grossed Rs 100 Crores only in overseas market in its first five days. Being a non-commercial film putted against a mass film like 'Salaar' and possessing with a pretty average content, together made 'Dunki' fare less than average at the boxoffice. Infact, SRK's current stardom after two massive hits has saved the film from sinking on its first working day.

Finally, "Dunki" has crossed Rs 300 crore mark in gross worldwide collection in seven days. The film has grossed Rs 305 crores globally in its first week whereas the nett collection in domestic market stands at Rs 150+ Crores. 'Dunki' marks 5th film for Shahrukh Khan which crosses Rs 300 crores gross mark worldwide. His top grossers are, Jawan (Rs 1100 Crores), Pathan (Rs 1050 Crores), Chennai Express and Happy New Year with Rs 400+ Crores gross.

"Dunki", based on an illegal immigration passage 'donkey flight', also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover. The film is also presented by JIO Studios and Rajkumar Hirani Films which is collective produced by Gauri Khan and Rajkumar Hirani.
