Over the past several months, there were many rumours about Suriya shifting to Mumbai along with his family Jyothika and their kids. Initially, it was circulated that Suriya's father, former popular actor Shiva Kumar doesn't want Jyotika to act and involve in film production. But, this didn't go well with Jyothika and Suriya supported his wife. Which resulted in movin away from their home in Chennai to Mumbai.
But, whenever the topic arises Suriya and Karthi told that they have been relocated to Mumbai for the studies of their kids and for staying closer to Bollywood and other pan India projects, web series. Speculations and rumours have been circulating about their separation, prompting Jyothika to break her silence and provide clarity on the matter.
Contrary to rumours suggesting problems with her in-laws, Jyothika clarified in a recent interview with a Tamil media outlet. She disclosed that during the pandemic, her parents faced health challenges multiple times, and due to lockdown restrictions, she couldn’t visit them. Jyothika expressed her concern about not being able to spend much time with her parents since relocating to Chennai at the age of 25.
The actress emphasised that after marriage, women often find it challenging to prioritise the care of their parents amidst various responsibilities. To address this and spend quality time with her parents, Jyothika decided to move to Mumbai temporarily. She also mentioned that her children attend school in Mumbai, providing an additional reason for the shift.
