Killer Soup streaming date finalised. Netflix India has just announced its latest crime thriller, "Killer Soup," featuring a stellar cast led by Manoj Bajpayee and Konkana Sensharma. Inspired by a gripping news headline, the series promises to deliver a unique blend of intrigue and dark humor in the world of crime dramas.
Directed and co-written by Abhishek Chaubey, with production credits going to Honey Trehan and Chetana Kowshik, "Killer Soup" is set to premiere on January 11, exclusively on Netflix. The first poster was unveiled on Netflix India's official Instagram page, teasing viewers with the caption, "A story so bizarre, you need to watch it to believe it. Know the ingredients of this Killer Soup starring Manoj Bajpayee, Konkona Sensharma, and Manoj Bajpayee coming to you on 11 Jan only on Netflix."
In this offbeat series, Konkana Sensharma takes on the role of Swathi Shetty, an aspiring yet untalented home chef. Swathi concocts an eccentric plan to replace her husband, Prabhakar (played by Manoj Bajpayee), with her lover, Umesh. However, the situation takes an unexpected turn when a bumbling local inspector and inexperienced villains get involved, leading to chaotic consequences.
Director, co-writer, and showrunner Abhishek Chaubey shared insights into the series, stating, "With ‘Killer Soup,’ we wanted to give the audience permission to laugh and also be totally shocked with a crime thriller that blends in humor and quirkiness. It is a pot-boiler sent completely over the top with an exceptional cast including Manoj Bajpayee, Konkona Sensharma, Nasser, Sayaji Shinde, and Lal. Through this series, I wanted to serve up something exceptional with Netflix, and it has been a creatively fulfilling experience with them.”
