Raashi Khanna marked her birthday in a serene and meaningful manner this year by realizing a long-held aspiration to visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar on November 30. Reflecting on the experience, she expressed, "I've harbored the desire to visit the Golden Temple for quite some time. Although I had been there in my younger days, I always yearned to do it right, to take the sacred bath and participate in the Amrit Vila during the early hours of 2-4 am. A day prior to my birthday, I arrived with my family and friends. We immersed ourselves in the temple's sanctity, taking a sacred bath in the sarovar. On the special day, we engaged in the Amrit Vila from 2-6 am," she shared during an interview, emphasizing that the entire experience felt truly fulfilling. "My birthday felt incredibly peaceful this year. Exiting the temple, I realized that this was exactly what I had envisioned. It's been an exceptional experience doing this with my family, and I'm delighted to have achieved it this year. The serenity is truly out of this world."
Turning 33 on November 30, Raashi Khanna also seized the opportunity to explore the city during her two-day sojourn with family. "I decided to explore the city, indulging in some shopping for kalankaari dupattas and suits. I've heard so much about the local food here," she shared. "I tried the famous Amritsari kulcha in the morning. People around us insist, 'No dieting in Amritsar.' I've been enjoying the local cuisine, and it's been a delightful experience. I don't mind the butter and ghee, given my regular workout routine. Heading back to work tomorrow, so this was a brief two-day escapade this time."
Known for her private nature, the actor opened up about her unique birthday tradition of planting trees. "I am quite reserved about showcasing my personal activities; I am a very private person. My team noticed my strong inclination towards planting and being an environmentalist. They suggested I share it. While I frequently plant trees, it has become a birthday tradition for me," she disclosed. Expressing satisfaction about the impact she's making, Khanna revealed, "A fan club recently informed me that they've also started planting because of my influence. Knowing that I've made this positive tradition brings me joy."
Discussing her upcoming film "Yodha," she revealed, "I believe the film has been postponed again to avoid clashes with other major December releases. Everyone should have their own space. We are now set for a March release, and I'm genuinely excited about it."
