Payal Rajput started her acting career with the Hindi television series Sapnon Se Bhare Naina (2010). She then appeared in shows including Aakhir Bahu Bhi Toh Beti Hee Hai and Maha Kumbh: Ek Rahasaya, Ek Kahani. Payal then forayed onto big screen and made her film debut with the Punjabi film Channa Mereya (2017), for which she received Filmfare Awards Punjabi for Best Debut Actress. The film was a remake of the Marathi film Sairat. Rajput then made her Hindi film debut with Veerey Ki Wedding (2018).
Payal Rajput made her Telugu film debut with RX 100 (2018), for which she received SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut (Telugu). Payal acted mostly in Telugu and Punjabi films apart from Tamil, Kannada and Kannada films. Meanwhile she made OTT debut with 'Anaganaga O Athidhi' film which was streamed on Aha where she played another bold character.
After 'RX100', Payal united with Director Ajay Bhupathi for 'Mangalavaaram' where she played one of the most Sensational roles. She played the role of a nymphomaniac in the film where Payal impressively portrayed the plight of the character she played, Shylu. The film became a success at the boxoffice giving her much needed break.
