Manchu Vishnu Vardhan Babu aka Vishnu Manchu is born as elder son to Legendary Actor Mohan Babu. Vishnu had a brief stint as a child artist with the 1985 film Ragile Gundelu. Years later, he made his debut as hero in the 2003 Telugu action film 'Vishnu'. He is also co-owner of the film production house 24 Frames Factory and is an educationalist through Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, founded by his father and veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu.
After his debut with 'Vishnu', he tried his luck in acting with 'Suryam', 'Asthram', and 'Game'. But all those films failed at the box-office. In 2007, a major break through happened in his career with Srinu Vaitla directorial, ' Dhee' which went on becoming highest grosser in his career. Then after a brief setbacks, he turned into producer and made superhit films like, 'Denikaina Ready', 'Doosukelta' and 'Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam'
Vishnu apart from films also founded world-class schools. He is a founder and chairman of New York Academy, a school in Hyderabad for which his wife, Viranica, is the director and his father Mohan Babu, is the chair person. He is also the chairman of Spring Board Academy and Spring Board International Preschools which has more than 75 branches spread across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Vishnu Manchu is the pro-chancellor for the prestigious Mohan Babu University in Tirupati established in 2022 by his father Dr. M. Mohan Babu.
Vishnu is one of the sponsors of the Celebrity Cricket League Telugu Warriors. Vishnu had been recently elected as the president of Movie Artists Association. Now, he is busy in making devotional film 'Kannappa' with major star cast at a pan India level. Coming to the family, He grew up with his brother Manoj and sister Lakshmi. In 2009, Manchu married Viranica Reddy. In 2011, they had twin daughters. In January 2018, they had a son and in August 2019, they had a daughter.
