Priyamani to surprise all as Contract Killer. After delivering a captivating performance in the recent film "Jawan," Priya Mani takes on a daring role as a contract killer in her latest project, "QG Part 1." Directed by Vivek Kumar Kannan, a former assistant to the renowned filmmaker Bala, the movie delves into the underbelly of organized crime, drawing inspiration from real-life scenarios, including the notorious 'Quotation Gang' in Kerala.

In an exclusive conversation, Vivek sheds light on the extensive research that went into the film, recounting his journeys through various parts of the country, including Mumbai's Dharavi slum. He unraveled the intricate web of organized crime and discovered the significant involvement of women in such activities. The book "Queens of Mumbai" further fueled his inspiration, ultimately leading him to cast Priya Mani as the lead, citing her as the ideal choice for the role.

Vivek provides insight into Priya Mani's character, Shakuntala, a contract killer who speaks through her actions, portrayed with authenticity as she works under the command of Mustafa, played by Jackie Shroff. The director aims for a raw and unfiltered look, with Priya Mani appearing without makeup and adorned in tribal saris, accentuated by tribal tattoos on her neck that underscore her background.

The film, categorized as a dark psychological thriller, weaves together multiple storylines. In Chennai, the narrative follows a young girl, played by Sara Arjun, struggling with drug addiction. In Kashmir, the focus shifts to Seera, Shakuntala’s adopted daughter, and Rubina, engaged in a tragic lesbian relationship. "QG — Part 1" is a hyperlink movie, skillfully intertwining these disparate stories into a cohesive narrative, showcasing Vivek's directorial prowess.

Moreover, the film addresses LGBTQ issues, featuring Sunny Leone as Jackie Shroff’s wife and Ashraf portraying a rival gangster.
