Superstar Rajinikanth's next after mega hit, 'Jailer' is coming with 'Lal Salaam' in an extended special role. Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth after a long time is donning the director's hat. The film billed to be a sports action drama stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles.
Makers released Teaser of the film on the eve of Diwali. The teaser begins with Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth competing in a cricket match and how the both belong to two different groups. It showcases how their game is affected because of a religion and communal fights. The teaser also shows Rajinikanth playing the role as Moideen Bhai and his whistle worthy introduction shot is also shown in the teaser.
Without much dialogues, the teaser gives a peek into the sports drama and the problems that two players played by Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth face because of the cultural and regional differences because of religion. Cinematography by Vishnu Rangasamy captures the clashes and tension effectively.
The music for the movie is composed by AR Rahman and achieved in creating curiosity in the teaser. 'Lal Salaam' is a sports drama that focuses on test cricket and apart from Rajinikanth, former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev also plays a cameo in the film. Lyca Productions is bank-rolling this project. The film is slated to hit the screens for Pongal, 2024.
