Superstar Rajinikanth made a stunning comeback with 'Jailer' which became one of the biggest hits of Kollywood. The film which was released for Independence day weekend has emerged as a blockbuster registering more than Rs 600 Crores gross including all languages. The film has became massive hit in Telugu too.
'Jailer' started streaming on Amazon Prime from September 7th. It has been trending in Top 10 places since then. It's quite common that whenever a big film gets released, it stays trending for few weeks. As new releases gets added to the streaming platform, they keep occupying the trending positions.
But, that is not the case with Jailer. It keeps on trending in Top 10 since the last 8 weeks no matter how many new films added every week. Only film which stayed in trending list for a long time is 'RRR' with 11 weeks. Now, Jailer is eyeing to match or cross that record. Even it has all chances to cross Pawan Kalyan's 'Vakeel Saab' record which is the highest viewed south Indian film till date on OTT.
Jailer is directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar while Kalanithi Maaran has produced it under Sun Pictures banner. Anirudh has composed the music while Ramya Krishna, Tamannaah, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu and Vasanth Ravi played other important roles.
