Nia DaCosta praises Shah Rukh Khan. "The Marvels" is poised for a grand launch on November 10, just before the festive Diwali season. This eagerly anticipated film brings together three formidable female superheroes: Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel (portrayed by Brie Larson), Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel (brought to life by Iman Vellani), and Captain Monica Rambeau (skillfully depicted by Teyonah Parris), marking their collective debut on the big screen.
In a surprising revelation, director Nia DaCosta expressed her keen interest in collaborating with a renowned Indian actor. During an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, she openly shared her admiration for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, stating, "Shah Rukh Khan is kind of a legend, isn't he? It's kind of a no-brainer in that sense."
However, DaCosta clarified that the idea of incorporating a Bollywood star into her film, akin to Farhan Akhtar's inclusion in Ms. Marvel, wasn't considered during production. She emphasized their commitment to maintaining an organic approach, avoiding any form of stunt casting. She also left the door open for future possibilities, remarking, "But there is always time; there's always time."
"The Marvels" boasts a diverse cast, including South Asian actor Iman Vellani and South Korean actor Park Seo-joon. Nia DaCosta expressed that she did not feel pressured to represent various communities, highlighting the film's focus on authenticity and storytelling.
Set to release on Diwali in India, "The Marvels" promises an exhilarating cinematic experience, uniting three extraordinary female superheroes. The film will be available in theaters in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on November 10, delivering a multi-lingual treat for fans.
