The Lady Killer Made With 45 Crores Collected 1 Lakh

There were films which gets released and vanishes in a couple of days unnoticed. Mostly such films comprises unknown cast and crew. But sometimes, notable films too bombed at the boxoffice miserable. But, here's a film with popular cast and crew created record as biggest disaster at the Bollywood boxoffice. 'The Lady Killer's headlined by Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar was released in limited theatres on 3rd November.  

Planned by the critics, the film didn't even received marginal response from the crowd. Made with a budget of 45 Crores the film hardly collected 1 Lakh in its Theatrical run remaind as the biggest boxoffice disaster. The film was directed by Ajay Bahl who is known for BA Pass and Section 375. The Lady Killer was released in 10 screens in Mumbai and 6 screens in Delhi. But, even such limited release failed to cover the film's satellite fee expenses too.

The first poster of the movie was unveiled a week before the movie's release, and it was only on that day that the release date of the film was also announced. The film was released five days after the trailer was released. The Lady Killer is apparently an unfinished movie that was released in theatres just to meet the conditions to release it on Netflix.

There is still 10 to 2 weeks of shoot left for the film. But, as makers feel the film went overboard on budget with 45 Crores spent already they did not want to spend a penny on the film. So, they fixed remaining part with voiceover and texts releasing an unfinished film in theatres. To draw attention they cut a trailer with steamy scenes.
