Karthi Interesting Comments About Japan

Karthi's landmark film 'Japan' is getting ready to hit the screens this Diwali. He is busy in promoting the film in both Tamil and Telugu. As Karthi holds considerate market in Telugu, Japan is expected to open big jn Telugu states this Diwali. National Award winning film 'Joker' director Raju Murugan has directed Japan while SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu produced under Dream Warrior Pictures. Nagarjuna's Annapurna Studios which earlier released Sardar 2 is releasing Japan in Telugu.

Japan Trailer which was recently released has promised a wacky action entertainer with a peculiar lead actor characterisation. The film has a plot about how a small-time thief, grows up to become a notorious robber. Trailer reveals that he flew off with Rs 200 crores of jewels that belong to a politician. Japan is reportedly based on a real-life notorious thief who was involved in several robberies in Tamil Nadu and Chennai.

Speaking about Japan Karthi says that it is not a true story but is inspired from real life incidents as director comes from journalist backdrop. He stated that he felt that the film is an out of the box idea while reading the script itself and the dark comedy came out very well. The film is an amalgamation of mass with humour and the film is made to cater universal audience says Karthi.

Karthi expressed that he wanted to do sequel or prequel to Japan and conveyed the same to the director as Japan is a very strong character. He also announced his upcoming films with Soodhukavvum director Nalan Kumarasamy and 96 director Prem Kumar. He also said that his lineup includes Sardar 2 and Kaithi 2. When asked about Dilli and Rolex, Karthi smiled and said it he is also waiting for that and it must be answered by his brother Suriya and Director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
