Dad shares update on Vishnu injury

Vishnu Manchu recently encountered a significant injury while filming in New Zealand for his upcoming Telugu film, "Kannappa." During the shoot, an unfortunate incident with a drone resulted in an injury to his arm. Mohan Babu, Vishnu's father and fellow actor, took to social media to provide an update on his son's recovery.

Mohan Babu expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the love, well-wishes, and concerns that poured in following Vishnu Manchu's accident. He shared that Vishnu is on the path to recovery by the grace of God and will soon return to the set to continue shooting, concluding with a warm "Har Har Mahadev!"

Further details on the injury reveal that the accident occurred due to a signal discrepancy that caused the drone operator to lose control. As a result, the drone's blades collided with Vishnu Manchu's arm, causing a severe injury due to the close proximity of the machine, which was being used to capture close-range shots for cinematic effect.

Currently, Vishnu Manchu is receiving medical treatment in a New Zealand hospital, leading to a temporary halt in the film's production. After his treatment, he is expected to take some time to recover before resuming work.Regarding the film "Kannappa," Vishnu Manchu plays a multifaceted role in the project, going beyond his lead actor status. 

His father, Mohan Babu, is producing the film under the banner of 24 Frames Factory. Vishnu has also co-written the story and screenplay with Tanikella Bharani, alongside director Mukesh Kumar Singh. "Kannappa" is a period film with an ensemble cast, including Madhoo and Mohan Babu, and featuring cameo appearances by Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Shiva Rajkumar.
