Thalapathy Vijay's latest entrant into Lokesh Cinematic Universe, Leo which was released on October 19 opened to mixed reviews but the film raked in huge numbers at the boxoffice. Even in Telugu Leo dominated Tollywood releases upto festival. After experiencing a brief dip in its collection on Friday, Leo made a comeback on its second weekend.
Leo garnered an impressive Rs 14 crore on Saturday, pushing its total domestic collection to Rs 285 crore. Leo has also crossed the milestone of Rs 500 crore globally. While Leo has crossed the milestone of Rs 500 crore at the global box office, it is yet to be seen if it can surpass Jailer’s worldwide box office collection of Rs 604 crore.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo boasts an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Sandy, and Gautham Menon. It has been released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
Leo' is already the highest-grossing film of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj. However, the film is estimated to mount again at the box office during this sunday. 'Leo' has already surpassed the lifetime collections of most of the Tamil films, as it entered into the all-time top 5 Tamil films.
