Sudheer Babu Facing Testing Times

Nitro Star facing numerous questions

Sudheer Babu facing testing times. Despite facing a series of setbacks with movies like 'Aa Ammayi Gurunchi Meeku Cheppali' and 'Hunt,' Telugu actor Sudheer Babu is embarking on a bold endeavor with his upcoming film, 'Harom Hara.' Together with the film's creators, he intends to release this action-packed movie nationwide, positioning it as a pan-India offering.

In recent times, North Indian audiences have exhibited a reluctance to embrace Telugu cinema, making it a challenging task for Sudheer Babu to captivate Hindi-speaking viewers. A Hindi distributor points to the example of 'Tiger Nageswara Rao,' which struggled to attract Hindi-speaking audiences.

Producers had invested a significant sum, ranging from Rs 4 to 5 crores, in an aggressive promotion campaign within the Hindi belt for 'Tiger Nageswara Rao.' Ravi Teja, the lead actor, dedicated considerable time to promote the action film in Mumbai. He even engaged in a dance-off with the glamorous diva Shilpa Shetty on a television show. However, despite these efforts, the film failed to generate substantial box office openings.

Sudheer Babu, who happens to be the kin of superstar Mahesh Babu, faces the challenge of revitalizing his career in the Telugu states before making a foray into other language markets.

A Hindi distributor advises, "He should first capture the hearts of the Telugu audience with a substantial hit before making his presence felt in Mumbai. Films like 'Pushpa' and 'Karthikeya 2' found favor with Hindi-speaking viewers because they were well-received by Telugu audiences as well. Hence, Sudheer needs to regain his winning streak in Telugu cinema before venturing into other states."

Sudheer Babu's most recent release, 'Mama Maschindra,' where he portrayed multiple roles, didn't resonate with audiences and quickly landed on an OTT platform just a week after its theatrical release. To rebuild his standing, he must first earn the trust and approval of Telugu viewers.
