In corporate offices and software companies, Monday is known to be a slow day. Following a two-day time off, everyone slacks on Monday. What if such a slow day turns out to be a thrilling ride? A fight with the girlfriend, an unwanted mix-up with a dangerous gang almost leading to death, etc. etc. in the life of an NRI software engineer named Shyam Kumar is what the premise of the film "How is that for a Monday?".
On the outset, it's a comedy thriller but deeper down it's a satire on the current day economic and social reality of America and the world, said the writer and director of the film Sripal Sama.
The film stars Kushik Ghantasala who previously appeared in movies such as Men Too and Brochevarevarura, and co-stars include many Hollywood actors such as Candido Carter, Keegan Guy, Megan Barlow, and Elester Latham.
Acclaimed Malayalam composer Dawn Vincent gave a background score to this film, while Mallesham fame Raghavender Vuppuganti edited it. The film also has several experienced Hollywood craftsmen such as the three-time Emmy award winner Scott Wolf who did sound mixing.
Acclaimed director Sekhar Kammula watched the movie and appreciated the efforts put in by the director hailing from Hyderabad, the hero, and the entire team. He extended his best wishes for the makers.
While the trailer teaser set good expectations, Sekhar Kammula’s comments on the film has raised the bar high. Moreover, the movie won several international awards.
Following a U/A certificate from CBFC, "How is that for a Monday?" is slated for its theatrical release worldwide in Telugu and English languages on this 27th.
