Regrettably, due to shifts in her back-to-back film release schedule and an already packed final quarter of 2024, the decision has been made to postpone the release of "Emergency" to the following year, 2024. Kangana expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the anticipation surrounding the movie's release, acknowledging the inquiries she receives wherever she goes.

In "Emergency," a Hindi film, Kangana Ranaut portrays the pivotal role of former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. The film marks Kangana's directorial debut as a solo director and is set against the backdrop of 1970s India, during the period when Indira Gandhi imposed The Emergency—a 21-month interval from 1975 to 1977 characterized by the suspension of civil liberties and the cancellation of elections. Kangana Ranaut assured her audience that the new release date will be disclosed in due course, building up the anticipation for this significant cinematic narrative.
