Art director passes away at Vidaamuyarchi sets. Art director Milan Fernandez tragically passed away on October 15 while working on his next film alongside actor Ajith Kumar in Azerbaijan, as confirmed by film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan.
Milan was diligently contributing to Ajith's upcoming project, "Vidaamuyarchi," which commenced its shooting earlier this month. This film is directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions. The filmmakers also expressed their condolences on Milan's untimely demise.
Milan had been a valued member of Ajith's creative team, having collaborated on several previous films. On the day of his unfortunate passing, he was actively preparing for the shoot but suddenly started feeling unwell. The production team promptly rushed him to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to a severe heart attack.
According to insiders on the set, Milan began to feel uneasy while working. They stated, "Milan suffered a fatal cardiac arrest. He had returned to his hotel after the shoot the previous night, feeling perfectly fine. However, the following morning, he gathered his team for work, but he soon complained of discomfort and profuse sweating. The production team arranged transportation to the hospital, but tragically, Milan passed away before they could reach there."
The production company behind "Vidaamuyarchi" conveyed their condolences via their official social media account: "Our heartfelt and deepest condolences go out to our Art Director @MilanFern30. May his soul Rest In Peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones." Additionally, film distributor Karthik Raviverma shared the sad news on his social media account, writing, "#VidaaMuyarachi Art Director MILAN passed away on the shooting location in Azerbaijan."
