Censor Board orders many cuts in LEO. Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film, "Leo," directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and part of his 'Lokesh Cinematic Universe,' has received certification from the Censor Board, albeit not without some alterations. Scheduled for release on October 19, "Leo" has been granted a U/A certification by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The CBFC has reportedly mandated 13 changes to the film, including the muting of certain expletives.

The Censor Certificate for "Leo" has gained attention on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing the 13 requested modifications by the CBFC to Lokesh Kanagaraj. In addition to muting the offensive language, the board has also advised adjustments to the scenes featuring graphic violence. Following these edits and cuts, "Leo" will have a runtime of 164 minutes, equivalent to 2 hours and 44 minutes.

"Leo" is an action thriller boasting a star-studded cast that includes Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Priya Anand, and Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. The film's script has been co-written by Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy, alongside Lokesh Kanagaraj. The release of "Leo's" trailer generated significant buzz when it was unveiled last week. The trailer offers a glimpse into the film's plot, which revolves around a seemingly mild-mannered cafe owner who gains local hero status through an act of violence but soon faces consequences tied to his past. The trailer also introduces Sanjay Dutt as the formidable antagonist. Additionally, it reunites Vijay and Trisha, who share the screen after nearly two decades, with Gautam Vasudev Menon portraying a police officer. The trailer hints at a captivating storyline, suggesting that Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay are poised to make a significant impact at the box office.
