Priyamani on Age Shaming

Priyamani strong take on age shaming.Priyamani candidly addressed the issue of age-shaming comments, emphasizing that such remarks are typically aimed at female actors. She expressed, "When men age, no one labels them as 50 or 40-year-old uncles. But when women reach 30 or 35, they start referring to us as 'aunties.' However, that's okay because they fail to realize that one day, they will also cross this age. For me, it's just... not giving them importance."

The actor went on to describe how she handles these comments by focusing on her own work. "I proudly declare that I am a 39-year-old, very good-looking woman who is entirely comfortable in her own skin and body. I consider myself attractive. Whether others do or not, that's perfectly fine. I won't demand that you acknowledge me as attractive. If you don't, that's okay. But there are others who do appreciate me," she stated.

Priyamani admitted that she used to be affected by such comments in the past, but over time, she has come to realize that regardless of her actions, there will always be critics. Therefore, she no longer sees the need to grant importance or that brief moment of fame to such individuals.
