Director VV Vinayak came like a storm post 2000's who played key role in changing the course of Telugu commercial cinema. He worked as assistant for senior directors like EVV Satyanarayana, Sagar, and SV Krishna Reddy. Though he threaded the path of earlier commercial directors, he has elevated Heroism to another level with his films. Action played major part in his films.
Vinayaka debuted as a director with NTR starrer Aadi. He not only delivered a powerful blockbuster and made industry turned towards him, the film has catapulted NTR's mass image to another level. Then he made Chennakesava Reddy with Nandamuri Balakrishna and showed his mark. He surprised everyone with his third film Dil with Nithiin which is a love story but mixed with comedy and songs. Vinayak didn't missed his mass mark even in this film.
He got an offer to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi for Tagore as his fourth film. He delivered one of the biggest hits in Tollywood with Tagore. Then he collaborated again with NTR for Samba. He brought mass image to Allu Arjun with Bunny. Vinayak delivered superhit Lakshmi with Venkatesh presenting him in full-on action elements along with family drama. He presented Prabhas as action Yogi.
With Krishna starring Ravi Teja, Vinayak has changed his course in blending entertainment to his films. It became a huge success. Ever since comedy played key role in his films like Adhurs, Nayak, and Alludu Seenu. Vinayak also directed the comeback film of Chiranjeevi, Khaidi No 150 and scored a blockbuster.
