Distributors on Srikanth Addala

Distributors advice to Star Director

Distributors on Srikanth Addala.Following the underwhelming performance of his latest action film 'Pedda Kapu' at the box office, seasoned director Srikanth Addala is facing the need to reassess his filmmaking strategy, as it appears that action films may not be his strong suit.

Distributors suggest that Srikanth should channel his talent into family dramas, as he excels in depicting the intricacies of family relationships and effortlessly conveys softer emotions.A distributor emphasizes that Srikanth seemed to aspire to join the league of renowned action directors in Telugu cinema, such as Boyapati Sreenu and V V Vinayak.

While Srikanth did manage to make a mark with the action film 'Narappa,' extracting commendable performances from Venkatesh and effectively portraying the simmering anger of the protagonists, it was worth noting that this movie was a remake of the Tamil film 'Asuran,' and he largely adhered to the original template.Perhaps, Srikanth had envisioned creating an original Telugu action film with 'Pedda Kapu,' but it appears to have failed to captivate audiences.

Another distributor argues that Srikanth's true forte lies in crafting family dramas like 'Kotha Bangaru Lokam,' 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu,' and 'Brahmotsavam.' These films are noted for their rich exploration of family emotions, sibling relationships, and parent-son bonds.Even today, these movies continue to resonate with audiences as they impart valuable values and morals. It is suggested that Srikanth should focus on producing more such heartwarming family-oriented films where he undeniably demonstrates his command over these subjects.
