The film which released with no real expectations stunned all by virtually washing out Prabhas' Radhe Shyam and going strong even during the release of Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR. The film broke many box office records and the brutal and hard portrayal of the genocide of Hindus in the Kashmir Valley by the Muslim terrorists touched up on the emotions of all.
Vivek Agnihotri became a overnight celebrity and he enjoyed the limelight by taking on The Kashmir Files detractors. When he announced his next, The Vaccine War, everyone got excited. He slated the film for release on 28 September 2023 and people got shocked when he decided to lock horns once again with Prabhas' Salaar.
When Prabhas' Salaar got postponed, he took potshots at the Prabhas fans and Prabhas. He claimed that Vaccine War is a tribute to Indian Scientists and a tribute to all the frontline warriors. But now much to the shock of all, Vaccine War is getting washed out and is tanking at the box office.
Unidimensional screenplay, painting all those who questioned the Government as terrotists did not connect chords with the movie lovers. The film earned a little over Rs 80 lakh on it’s opening day and delivered similar figures on it’s second day in theatres, taking its total two-day collection to Rs 1.70 crore. The film had an overall occupancy of 11.77% in India on Friday.
